We got the first edit of the new single today – it sounds amazing, ‘marvellous’ even… They are tweaking the backing as we speak but Jason’s vocal is positively chocolately. We will keep you posted!

Auditions yesterday were a HUGE success and we would just like to thank everyone who took part as well as our brilliant judges, Anna Foster of Metro Radio and Faye Tozer of STEPS. The standard was extremely impressive, proving that there’s plenty of talent here in Newcastle! The judges whittled the hopefuls down to 4 finalists and I’m glad I didn’t have to decide – an impossible task. The winner was Stockton-based Val Boyers and we are looking forward to seeing her alongside Jason and The Dave Connolly Big Band on March 24th at Newcastle City Hall. People of Newcastle we need your help! A local record company has thrown down the gauntlet – if we can prove Jason has enough local support by filling the City Hall in March (Saturday 24th) they will sign him up!
